flag: Taiwan
A rectangular flag representing the independent state of Taiwan (Republic of China). It features a blue canton (upper left quarter) with a white sun (Kuomintang emblem) against a red field.
There are different emoji meanings for flag: Taiwan in different cultures:
- Western culture
- Recognized as the flag of Taiwan, often used in discussions related to Taiwanese politics, economy, or culture. Its display can sometimes be politically charged depending on the context of 'One China' policy.
- East Asian culture
